United Way Worldwide is the leadership and support organization for the network of nearly 1,800 community-based United Ways in 45 countries and territories. Our name is known all over the world and our 125-year history is a testament to how effective we are. The United Way of Campbell County has a 40-year history of running workplace giving campaigns, and is now working to provide more opportunities for people to take positive action-giving their dollars, their time or their voice for the greatest impact.
We collaborate with 14 partner agencies to affect positive changes in Campbell County as efficiently as possible. When non-profit organizations work together, not only can more good be accomplished, but also the cost of fundraising is dramatically reduced, leaving more money for what is important—helping people. Advancing the common good is less about helping one person at a time and more about changing systems to help all of us. We are all connected and interdependent. We all win when a child succeeds in school, when families are financially stable, when people are healthy. Living united means being a part of the change. It takes everyone in the community working together to create a brighter future.
The United Way provides an unparalleled level of convenience and affordability in giving options such as payroll deduction and electronic pledging. When you donate to the United Way, your gift will be invested to help those in need because our knowledge of the community ensures contributions are channeled to where those needs are greatest. Volunteers from around the community visit United Way’s partner agencies to evaluate their effectiveness and make funding recommendations to the United Way of Campbell County's Board of Directors, which is made up entirely of Campbell County residents.
Our Mission: The United Way of Campbell County mobilizes the power of our community by uniting resources, raising awareness, and empowering individuals.
